Daily news roundup: March 20th 2013

As there was no update yesterday you lucky sods will be getting a bumper roundup today.

Lets begin.

  • After the success of Skyfall, many expected a new Bond film to be released fairly soon. However, with Sam Mendes confirming he won’t be directing Bond 24, the next installment has fallen into a slight limbo. Without a director or writer, the producers behind the Bond franchise have put a loose time limit on Bond 24 and hope to have it out sometime in the next 3 years.
  • Tom Cruise, a man with plenty of time on his hands, has been linked to star in the big screen update of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. You can read that story here.
  • New sci-fi horror movie The Colony released a new trailer and poster the other day, which you can read about here.
  • If you’re a fan of G.I. Joe and liked the 2009 film, then you can watch four minutes of upcoming sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation here.
  • Iron Man 3 released another poster, this time not featuring just one character but, well, every character.
  • Finally, Now You See Me is an upcoming heist movie directed by Louis Leterrier, and stars Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman & Michael Caine. The IMDb has this synopsis: “FBI agents track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.” Anyway, a very cool new poster has been released, which you can view here.
