The hugely successful Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on 27 March.

Set before the events of the Harry Potter series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is directed by David Yates and stars Eddie Redmayne as Magizoologist Newt Scamander. Decades before Harry found out what fun he could have with his wand, Fantastic Beasts move the action to New York as Newt is chronicling the various magical creatures contained within the world.

We have been provided the following synopsis:

“The film opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.”

Despite some faults I enjoyed the film at the cinema and look forward to seeing it again at home. It added a welcome sense of fun to an otherwise dour summer blockbuster season.
